This article will examine several prominent Ghanaians who have expressed interest in becoming the country's chairman in the not-too-distant future. Although not all of them have expressed a desire to run for president, a few have. Based on my observations and personal beliefs, as well as the opinions of Ghanaians who think these individuals would be capable of leading the country as chairmen, I have come to the following conclusion:
1. Kennedy Agyapong- Member of Parliament for Assin Central Most Ghanaians are of the opinion that the Honorable Kennedy Agyapong, with his stern personality, would make an excellent chairperson if given the opportunity. Most Ghanaians want him to run for president, and they're prepared to back him if he does, even though he hasn't formally announced his desire to do so. He has discussed potential actions he would take as chairman in previous interviews.
2. Dampare- The Inspector General of Police is one official whose tenure has restored faith in Ghana's police force. If Dampare were to announce his intention to run for president, mature Ghanaians would back him to win the seat. He has earned the hearts of many Ghanaians with his leadership skills; some call him the no-gibberish man.
3. Sammy Gyamfi- The National Democratic Congress's communications officer is someone I think will become the chairman of Ghana at some point. In our environment, we conflate being confident with being haughty, even when many perceive him as rude and conceited. If Sammy Gyamfi chooses to challenge for the presidency, his exceptional communication skills and experience as a lawyer will serve him well.
4. Farmer and actor John Dumelo- In the future, John Dumelo will also be leading the NDC in the presidential contest. Even though his numbers were encouraging, his rival, Madam Lydia Alhassan, rejected him on his first try at entering Congress and trounced him with a slide fringe.
