Emel Foundation Support's A Cancer Patient
Emel Foundation as NGO Donates to a lady who have been battling with an ailment of cancer for her Treatment. She can't afford the bills alone and needed assistance.
The joy of Mary Saah and her family knew no bounds at the weekend as Emel Foundation came to their way in the form of GH¢1000 donation from the founder of the foundation, Emmelia Hagar Essel, for the treatment of their daughter’s cancer ailment.
The 21 year old by name Mary was diagnosed with cancer of the shoulder and have been in serious pain for months until she was taken to the Wenchi Methodist hospital where Essel saw aid her.
Presenting the pecuniary in an envelope to Mary at Tuobodom in the Bono East Region, Essel said she was touched when she learnt of the lady’s ailment and decided to give her support.
The Emel Foundation is a Non-Profit Organisation that have been providing financial support, item and assistance to people who are vulnerable and who cannot afford their bills.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the foundation, Reuben Appiah-Kubi, in an interview with the media said 10th March is selected every year for donation which is the same day the founder celebrates her birthday.
"Well actually, Mary's case was seen in the Wenchi Methodist hospital some months ago and we have been trying our best to crowd funds for her and we’ve been able to raise this sum of amount of money. So we presented the money to her in the presence of the family" the PRO detailed.
He added, “We believe that presenting this money to her would be for the good and for the well being of Mary who has this ailment and this is what we have been doing for people as giving back to society".
The foundation therefore called on well meaning Ghanaian and donors to help the foundation to reach out to many others.
Receiving the pecuniary, Mary Saah was thankful to the Almighty God and Emel Foundation for the good gesture, saying the family will proceed to the treatment, and added, "I never knew that it would come this far as we met at their hospital. I have been battling with treatment, hoping that help it will come. I’m so delighted and so happy, in fact my joy will never end here. I will continue to call her, to thank and encourage her to do more for others". She add.
