Drogba, whose real name is John Peasah, recently made headlines for going online to ask for donations to help pay for his medical bills. Demyelinating disease, which impacts the sheaths that surround nerve fibers in the brain, is a verified illness that Drogba is presently combating. His health problems started while filming a sequence in the final season of the YOLO series, according to Hannah Mensah, who is Drogba's sister. Since then, he's had trouble adjusting to daylight or flashing lights due to his severe sensitivity to light and double vision.

Charitable Ghanaians have been contributing to Drogba's medical bills after word of his illness spread. The overwhelming amount of support shows how the Ghanaian community comes together in times of crisis, showing compassion and charity. The leader of the New Patriotic Party in Ghana, Dr. Bawumia, paid a house call to Drogba as a sign of solidarity. Dr. Bawumia and his assistants were seen in a video that went viral online entering Drogba's living room. During his visit, the vice president reportedly offered Drogba his own donation to help with his medical bills.

Even though the Vice President was being charitable, some online critics have accused him of having political agendas behind his visit. Those who hold this view claim that Dr. Bawumia's trip to Drogba is nothing more than a ploy to win over sympathetic voters before the next election. They claim that the Vice President's visit is suspicious because it falls during the election year.

Political gestures are a contentious topic, and it's vital to approach debates about them with an open mind and an appreciation for the diversity of opinion that exists. There are many who see Dr. Bawumia's visit through a political prism, while others see it as a gesture of true compassion. It is crucial to engage in open discourse to promote understanding, as the intricacies of political processes can cause people to have different perspectives on what has happened.

Despite the naysayers, Drogba's fight with demyelinating disease has moved many and garnered support from the general public and influential politicians alike. This show of solidarity is a reflection of the kindness and solidarity felt by the Ghanaian people.
