Nkoranza Area Teachers' Co-operative Credit Union has held its 48th Annual General Meeting.
Mr. Benjamin Kodom, the general managers for Nkoranza Area Teachers' Co-operative credit union (NATCU) has provided a healthy membership status and financial statement of the Credit Union, comprising the total assets and deposits, adding to the performance of the NATCU with its successfulness which have improved the livelihood of the people as they continue to save with them compared in their 48th annual general meeting on Friday, 22nd March, 2024.
Mr Benjamin Kudom asked members of the Union to exhibit good practices, to establish trust and confidence with management and enhance the activities of the Union.
He said the Union was a viable banking institution with a solid foundation that the Union had maintained its Grade ‘A’ category status of the Credit Unions Association of Ghana (CUA).
Other credit unions have been visiting the Nkoranza Union to understudy its good administrative practices to help improve theirs, he said.
However, the Credit Union had new edifice, which its construction began in 2022, which was completed in 2024 and commissioned at the general meeting event.
"The credit union was expanding with numbers in the Nkoranza branch, therefore called on organisations to come on board and allow their members to enjoy the benefits the union is offering", he added.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kodom acknowledged that as part of its corporate social responsibility, the NATCU has made significant efforts to make financial services available for patronage in pecuniary development to their customers and other institutions.
The general manager cautioned officers of the Union to tread cautiously in their dealings with other institutions due to the current turbulence in the financial sector. "I urge my workers to work harder to justify the confidence acquainted by the institution, and I felicitate everyone too", he stated.
He said such good results revealed the effectiveness and hard work of the management of the union and the active support and encouragement the management also received from the staff, as well as the Board of Directors and other committees of the union.
"The vision is to become a model of excellence for credit union in Ghana and to provide diverse financial services", says by the general manager for the NATCU.
The general manager outlined the institution's future agendas as to provide ATM machines, provides short code to deposit and withdrawal transactions and provision of credit cards. "The edifice have complex offices.
The Manager of the union, Mr Benjamin Kudom, was grateful to the board of directors and the entire membership of the union for their support and encouragement to him and his staff, saying their joint efforts had been a pillar for them in the discharge of their duties.
