Despite their remarkable record, West Ham suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Newcastle United in a dramatic match with seven goals.
Kudus, who joined the Hammers last summer, has quickly become a key figure in the squad.

While jubilant over his record-breaking goal, Kudus suffered a slight setback in his celebration.
A ball boy's refusal to give him his seat, thus nullifying his famous "sit down" celebration, caused Kudus to return to his previous celebratory gesture of sitting on the scoreboard.
