1. Prepare a lesson plan to teach JHS learners on any concept, say, especially Optics, Thermal energy, waves, Atomic and nuclear physics.


2.a. State the effects of thermal energy on matter.


b. Describe to a JHS learner how sea and land breeze is formed.


c. Explain to a JHS learner how thermos flask conserves heat.


3.a.i. State the laws of reflection.


ii. What is reflection/ refraction ? 


b. Practical calculations on light, say, finding the incident angle/magnification/angle of incidence/angle of reflection.


Nb: Calculations on refractions of light should not be left out.


c. Draw a ray diagrams of light forming different angles.

b. State and work with the mirror formula for determining image and object distance.


c. Differences between reflection and refraction.


4.a. How would youe xplain the following terms to a JHS learner :

i. Waves

ii. Temperature

iii. Heat


b.i. State the types of waves and explain.


ii. How would you explain to your JHS learners the types of heat transfer and citing its relevant applications in real-life. 


c.i. Identify the differences between temperature and heat.


ii. State the effects of heat on matter.


d. Explanations on the calculations on heat, specific heat capacity and quantity of heat. 


5.a. State the relationship between sped, frequency and wavelength. 


b.i. Identify 4 activities as a Science tutor to show the different electric and magnetic fields. 


ii. List 4 micro science activities (methods for teaching science) for teaching JHS learners science. 


c.i. State 4 attitides and values that you would want your learners ti exhibit in science lessons. 


ii. Enumerate the aims of teaching science in the new basic school science curriculum.
