Limited voter registration exercise awakens National Democratic Congress (NDC) members in Nkoranza North which made them invoke curses as alleged New Patriotic Party(NPP) members are bussing foreigners to register.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has invoked curses on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and on strangers being smuggled in to register in the ongoing limited voter registration exercise in Nkoranza North District of Bono East region.
However, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is boycotting any plans and attempts to assist minors and foreigners in acquiring voter ID in the ongoing registration exercise in the Nkoranza North district. We will not sit down for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to register foreigners and minors because it's against the law for minors who are under 18 years to register and vote.
Meanwhile, the constituency secretary for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ballasi Emmanuel, in an interview said they will not hesitate to challenge any foreigners' attempting to register in the ongoing limited voter registration exercise if it comes to our attention that they are trying to register foreigners, we will call for alarm.
According to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) secretary, an NPP-branded vehicle was seen busing in foreigners to register. The New Patriotic Party is using a lot of means to get access to register foreigners which will not be tolerated because we can't allow them to do this. We the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are very vigilant watching the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Ballasi explained that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) executives observed some unknown and non-residents including individuals in Nkoranza North, which led them to invoke curses on any stranger attempting to register in the constituency. This is to desist the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from registering strangers and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) won't be silent over this and what's going on. We will do our best to not to let foreigners get on the voter register and will challenge anyone who tries to bring in foreigners to register.
"We believe our actions are in demand of natural justice and the people of Nkoranza North are living witnesses to this", he said.
In conclusion, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) bold stance against alleged voter fraud in Nkoranza North is sending a strong message: "The integrity of the electoral process is paramount and any attempts to compromise it will be met with fierce resistance".
"As the political landscape continues to evolve, it's crucial that all stakeholders prioritize transparency, accountability and the democratic values that underpin Ghana's vibrant democracy." He stated.
