On Wednesday, June 26, Mulanje police detained a 38-year-old pastor on suspicion of raping a 15-year-old girl who also has epilepsy. The child's parents were tricked by the pastor, who claimed to be able to treat the child's epileptic illness, according to the spokesperson, Innocent Moses. Additionally, he disclosed that the pastor had been having intercourse with the youngster since February of this year until it was discovered in June that the child was not pregnant. He told the story of how the pastor went to the epileptic girl's house and persuaded her parents to take her for prayers at his house and on a mountain.

The pastor went to the girl's parents' house and made a marriage proposal after learning that he had gotten her pregnant. Her parents, on the other hand, were horrified by the information and called the police, who then took the priest into custody on charges of child molestation. In addition, the pastor is scheduled to appear in court on charges of child molesting. Steven Zambia is from Makaula village, which is also in the district and is under the Traditional Authority Mabuka, and he currently resides in Mkweya village. The following five indicators point to a false prophet:

1. Contradiction with Scripture: The doctrines of false prophets frequently run counter to accepted religious scriptures or doctrines. It may indicate falsehood if their teachings conflict with the core ideas and precepts of a certain religion.

2. Personal Gain: The goals of false prophets are frequently driven by the desire for power, money, or control over others. Be wary of prophets who seem more concerned with amassing power or fortune than with actually helping and advising people.

3. Lack of Accountability: False prophets typically function in an opaque and unaccountable manner. They might be shielded from criticism or inquiries concerning their acts, teachings, or authoritative figures. A deficiency of responsibility may indicate trouble.

4. Unfulfilled Prophecies: False prophets may make lofty assertions or forecasts that prove untrue. Predictions or promises that consistently prove inaccurate may be a sign of dishonesty or a lack of true divine knowledge.

5. Manipulation and Control: To keep their followers under emotional, psychological, or financial control, false prophets frequently employ manipulation techniques. It may be a red flag if a prophet fosters dependency, guilt, or terror in their followers instead of encouraging spiritual well-being and personal development. In assessing the veracity of prophets or spiritual leaders, discernment, critical thinking, and investigation are essential. Being rooted in one's ideas and values, consulting reliable sources, and asking religious leaders for assistance can all aid in spotting false prophets.
