The music trio Alaye Geng is currently on a high school tour with an initiative titled “Campaign Against Mob Justice and Things Which Can Lead to Mob Justice.” This tour is an opportunity to promote their latest EP, “Mad Vibes EP,” while educating students about the dangers of mob justice and the behaviors that can lead to it, advocating for its eradication in our modern era.
Their first stop was Awe Senior High School, where the school was celebrating their SRC week. Alaye Geng took this opportunity to kick off their tour at the school. During their visit, they donated a sum of GH¢1,000to a brilliant but needy student, Apewe Ramatu, a female General Arts student from Kajolo, a community in Navrongo. She was selected by the school to receive the award as the most deserving recipient. According to the Assistant Headmistress of Administration, Vivian Kangi, Ramatu is known for her brilliance, calm demeanor, and dedication to her studies, admired by everyone on campus, including her colleagues and the staff.

During their visit, a speech was delivered on behalf of the crew by Mr. Castro Ayine Afabla, and a cash donation of GH¢1,000 was handed over to a brilliant but needy student, Apewe Ramatu, a female General Arts student from Kajolo, a community in Navrongo. She was selected by the school to receive the award as the most deserving recipient. Representing Navrongo Police Commander ASP Kingsley Kanda, Chief Inspector James Joimin Konmong gave an impactful lecture on mob justice at the event. He educated students and attendees on the dangers of mob justice, which can harm innocent people without proper investigation. He strongly condemned this practice, stressing the importance of legal procedures in handling criminal cases, particularly theft, and advising against taking the law into one’s own hands.
