Nigerian crossdresser and social media influencer, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has recently shared new pictures on his social media platforms, marking his return to public life after a six-month stint in prison. The controversial figure, who has garnered a significant following for his flamboyant lifestyle and bold fashion choices, was released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos on August 5, 2024.

Bobrisky's legal troubles began earlier this year, following an incident at a public event that caught the attention of the authorities. On April 12, 2024, Bobrisky was sentenced to six months in prison by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos. The charge against him was related to the mutilation of the naira, Nigeria's official currency, a crime that the Nigerian government takes very seriously.

The crossdresser's offense occurred during the premiere of the movie Ajakajiu (Beast of Both Worlds), a film by popular Nigerian actress Eniola Ajao. Bobrisky was awarded the title of 'Best Dressed Female' at the event, a recognition that stirred controversy, given his well-known status as a male-to-female crossdresser. Following the award ceremony, Bobrisky was seen spraying naira notes at a meet-and-greet event organized to promote the movie. This act of spraying money in public is a common practice at Nigerian celebrations but is considered illegal, as it involves the defacing of the national currency.

Following his sentencing, Bobrisky was sent to the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos, where he served his six-month term. The incarceration marked a significant moment in his life, as it was his first time being imprisoned. Despite the challenging circumstances, Bobrisky managed to maintain a positive outlook during his time in prison, often reflecting on his experience in social media posts shared through his management team.

His release on August 5, 2024, was met with excitement from his fans and supporters, many of whom had followed his journey closely during his time behind bars. Bobrisky's return to freedom was celebrated with much fanfare, as he was greeted by friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry.

Upon his release, Bobrisky wasted no time in reconnecting with his followers. He took to his social media accounts to share a series of fresh pictures, proudly declaring, “She’s back.” The photos, which showcased his signature glamorous style, quickly went viral, drawing reactions from fans and critics alike.

In one of the videos posted shortly after his release, Bobrisky was seen in a celebratory mood, riding in a vehicle alongside actresses Eniola Ajao and Moyo Lawal, among others. The video captured a joyous Bobrisky, who appeared to be in high spirits as he mingled with his friends.

Showing off his physique, Bobrisky confidently stated, “I came back from jail with a nice body.” This comment has since sparked conversations on social media, with many noting that the crossdresser seems to have emerged from his time in prison with renewed confidence.

While Bobrisky’s return has been marked by celebration, the crossdresser also took the opportunity to share some words of advice with his followers. Reflecting on his experience, he urged Nigerians to obey the laws of the land, particularly the regulations surrounding the handling of the naira.

“Follow the rules, abide by the law. Don’t spray money; otherwise, you’ll be a landlord inside Kirikiri,” Bobrisky warned.
