In recent times, actor Kwaku Manu has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with certain policies implemented by the current government. However, his criticisms did not sit well with everyone, especially among some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). In a video circulating on social media, an NPP footsoldier launched a verbal attack on Kwaku Manu, criticizing him for speaking out against the government.

Kwaku Manu, a popular Kumawood actor known for his comedic roles, recently posted a video where he expressed his displeasure with some of the policies of the NPP government. He voiced concerns about the economic challenges faced by ordinary Ghanaians, including high taxes, rising cost of living, and unemployment. According to Manu, these policies are making life difficult for the average Ghanaian, and he urged the government to take steps to address these issues.

However, Kwaku Manu’s comments did not go unnoticed by some ardent supporters of the NPP. In a strongly-worded response, an NPP footsoldier took to social media to express his anger and frustration at the actor’s remarks. The footsoldier, whose identity remains unknown, accused Kwaku Manu of being ungrateful to the NPP government.

According to the footsoldier, Kwaku Manu was a struggling actor during the tenure of ex-President John Dramani Mahama. He claimed that during Mahama’s administration, Kwaku Manu was financially broke and could barely afford to produce YouTube videos due to frequent power outages, commonly referred to as ‘dumsor.’ The footsoldier alleged that Kwaku Manu was on the verge of starvation because his career was in decline.

The NPP footsoldier further argued that it was the current NPP government that solved the electricity supply problem, which had plagued the country for years. He credited the NPP with stabilizing the power supply, which he claimed allowed Kwaku Manu to revive his career. The footsoldier suggested that Kwaku Manu’s ability to produce content and earn a living today was thanks to the improved electricity situation under the NPP administration.

He went on to say that Kwaku Manu should be thankful to the government for turning his life around. According to the footsoldier, the actor now enjoys a much better standard of living, including the ability to travel abroad—something the footsoldier believes would not have been possible without the NPP’s intervention.

The footsoldier’s response was not just a simple rebuttal; it was laced with harsh and damaging insults aimed at Kwaku Manu. He questioned the actor’s integrity and suggested that his criticisms were baseless and motivated by selfish interests. The footsoldier accused Kwaku Manu of biting the hand that feeds him and suggested that the actor had no right to criticize the very government that, according to him, helped him rise from his former struggles.

The exchange between Kwaku Manu and the NPP footsoldier has sparked mixed reactions among the public. While some people support Kwaku Manu’s right to express his opinions and criticize the government, others believe that he should show more gratitude to the NPP for the perceived improvements in his life. Social media platforms have been flooded with comments from both sides of the debate, with some people defending Kwaku Manu’s freedom of speech and others siding with the footsoldier’s stance.
