President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has issued a stark
warning to voters, asserting that a choice in favor of John Dramani Mahama and
the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming December 7 elections
would signal a return to an era marked by underdevelopment and economic
hardship.
Addressing a crowd at the sod-cutting ceremony for the
expansion of the Tema Motorway, President Akufo-Addo criticized the NDC and its
candidate, John Dramani Mahama, accusing them of offering no new solutions for
Ghana's challenges. The President urged Ghanaians to reject the NDC's bid for
power, arguing that their leadership would only take the country backwards.
“Under the previous NDC administration, we experienced
stagnation and non-performance,” President Akufo-Addo asserted. “We cannot
afford to go back to those days. We must move forward with Dr. Mahamudu
Bawumia, who is the best candidate to continue Ghana’s progress.”
The Tema Motorway expansion, which President Akufo-Addo
highlighted during his speech, is part of the government's broader
infrastructure development agenda aimed at enhancing the nation's road network
and supporting economic growth. The expansion project is expected to improve
connectivity and drive regional development, further underscoring the
administration’s commitment to progress.
President Akufo-Addo's remarks reflect his broader campaign
