reflected on his past, admitting to a period of womanizing during his career
and acknowledging the personal regrets associated with it. Speaking on Onua TV,
Gyan shared his life lessons, advising the youth against the pitfalls of
womanizing and emphasizing the importance of maintaining personal issues

since 2013 and officially divorced his wife in 2023, revealed that his past
behavior did not positively impact his life. “Everybody is a womanizer, but
womanizing did not help me. I will advise partners to keep their issues between
themselves,” he stated. His divorce from Gifty, his ex-wife, was finalized on
October 31, 2023, and the couple has three children together. Despite the
separation, Gyan remains responsible for child support payments as Gifty
retains custody of the children.
Gyan's divorce case has been notably publicized due to the
dramatic circumstances surrounding it. Edwin Kusi Appiah, Gyan's legal counsel,
recently shed light on the primary reasons behind the divorce. In an interview
with Kofi TV, Appiah disclosed that Gyan had been subjected to threats from
Gifty's former spouse, who claimed that Gyan's three children, particularly the
firstborn, were not his biological offspring.
According to Appiah, Gyan was informed by the former husband
that the firstborn was not his and belonged to him instead. This accusation
prompted Gyan to gather evidence and seek legal action to annul the marriage.
The situation escalated to the point where a DNA test was requested to confirm
the paternity of the children.
“The main reason Asamoah Gyan went to court was due to these
threats. The DNA tests eventually proved that Gyan was indeed the father of the
children, which was a relief for him because of his deep love for them,” Appiah
explained.
The divorce proceedings and public revelations have added a
