Mohamed Salah provides a revealing update on Liverpool's future and contract talks.
Mohamed Salah is one of several key Liverpool players who has entered the final year of his contract, and the 32-year-old has now provided an update on his future plans.
Mohamed Salah has spoken out regarding his future, with the Liverpool star's contract set to expire at the conclusion of this season.
Salah believes he is completely focused on the present campaign and only wants to "enjoy the last year" before making any decisions. Liverpool have entered a new era this season, with Arne Slot taking over from Jurgen Klopp, and Salah has made a usually strong start.
The 32-year-old, Liverpool's highest-paid player in history, has scored in both of the club's inaugural Premier League games and continues to be an important player under Slot. However, it is unclear where his long-term future rests.
"To be honest, I don't think much about the future," Salah told Sky Sports.
Salah is not the only major Liverpool player who has entered the last year of his contract, with the futures of Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
When asked for more information on the trio earlier this month, Liverpool manager Arne Slot told Sky Sports: "If we pull the best out of them and they perform exceptionally well, it's up to them to sign and us to offer them a new contract."
