The seas, which cover over 70% of our planet, are a vital component of Earth's ecosystem. 3. Indian Ocean: The warmest of the five, located between Asia, Africa, and Australia.

4. Arctic Ocean: The smallest and coldest, surrounding the North Pole.

5. Southern Ocean: Also known as the Antarctic Ocean, surrounding Antarctica.


Importance of the Seas

- Regulate Climate: The seas absorb and store heat, helping regulate Earth's temperature.

- Produce Oxygen: Phytoplankton in the seas produce up to 70% of the oxygen we breathe.

Challenges Facing the Seas
