Cristiano Ronaldo, a soccer superstar, recently started a YouTube channel that swiftly grew to millions of members, and the renowned sportsman has set his sights on MrBeast's subscriber count.
Ronaldo's YouTube channel debuted on August 21, 2024, and received over 20 million subscribers in the first 24 hours. Ronaldo broke MrBeast's record for the fastest YouTube channel to reach 20 million subscribers. However, in terms of total subscribers, Ronaldo admits that dethroning MrBeast has a long road ahead.
During his press conference ahead of Portugal's UEFA Nations League games, Ronaldo stated that he aims to surpass MrBeast's YouTube subscriber count, saying, "MrBeast is the one I have to beat." Ronaldo also discussed his YouTube channel aspirations and suggested a timeframe for surpassing MrBeast as the most subscribed YouTuber. "My goal in this was to get closer to my followers, and I believe they deserve it. […] Subscribers and records. You have to keep these things in context, but I want to defeat them," he said.
Everything happens in its own time, and I believe the fans are happier now. My initial interpretation of this, a few months ago, was to be closer to them, and I am very happy to have done so. We'll see in two years whether I can beat MrBeast."
Despite breaking MrBeast's record for the fastest YouTube channel to get 20 million views, Ronaldo still has a long way to go before becoming the most subscribed YouTuber. Ronald's YouTube channel currently has 56.4 million subscribers, which is around 257 million less than MrBeast's main channel, which has 313 million members. Currently, MrBeast is the only YouTube channel with 300 million subscribers. T-Series, the second most subscribed YouTube channel, is the only other channel to have reached 200 million subscribers. So coming up to either would be an incredible accomplishment for Ronaldo.
Ronaldo has perhaps already fulfilled his aim to be closer to his supporters. One of his most popular films is titled "Discover EVERYTHING about us," in which Ronaldo and his wife Georgina play the famous "Mr. and Mrs. game" to reveal fascinating details about their personal lives. With such popular content, a two-year time limit to surpass MrBeast may not be too farfetched.
