The minister visited the region on the 12th June 2024 to inspect road projects in the area and promised that, the contractor working on the Bolga-Bawku-Polumakom road would return to site quickly.

"The contractor left the Bolga-Bawku-Polumakom road work, to work on another road at Suame, Kumasi. The NPP does not value the people of this area" Yussif Mahmud esq stated earlier.

This road project starts from the Bolgatanga Municipality through to the Bolgatanga East District, Nabdam district, Bawku West District, Binduri District, Bawku Municipal, Pusiga District to the Ghana-Togo border.

The road when completed, would serve as an easy transit for trucks that travel from the Ghanaian harbors to Togo, Niger, Burkina Faso and other neighboring countries.
