According to a source, Manchester United will think about making a deal for Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace during the summer 2025 transfer window.

As Jadon Sancho was allowed to go for Chelsea on deadline day, the Red Devils are searching for wide players. Despite being an initial loan, the agreement will become permanent as long as the Blues place among the top 14 teams in the Premier League this year.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Eze is on United's transfer committee's short list as they prepare to bolster their roster significantly come summertime.

Eze has a £68 million release clause in his Palace contract, and in the recent past, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have been strongly linked to him.

Despite this interest, Eze stayed at Palace for this season as a well-established part of the England squad. Steve Parish, the chairman of Palace, expressed his surprise that the team managed to hold onto him..

"I was really worried from a club point of view of losing Michael [Olise] and Ebbs in the same window and we didn't have in Ebbs the interest that I thought we would have," Parish told Sky Sports News last week.

"I was shocked. Honestly amazed. The guy is just an amazing football player and a wonderful person, really."

The Manchester Evening News also reports that United is still interested in Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite in addition to Eze.

This summer, United made two bids for Branthwaite, the second of which was for £50 million; however, Everton's offer, which was valued at least £70 million, turned down. Instead, United focused on Leny Yoro of Lille and Matthijs de Ligt of Bayern Munich.
