The Electoral Commission started receiving nominations on Monday, September 9 and it will end up to Friday, September 13, 2024.
However, nomination forms will be accepted between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon, and again from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm each day during the nomination period.
The Member of Parliament for Nkoranza South Constituency in the Bono East Region of Ghana, Hon. Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum has expressed confidence in retaining his seat in the upcoming elections.
He filed his nomination on 10th September, 2024 with an assurance of victory.
He is a member of National Democratic Congress. He won the Nkoranza South Constituency parliamentary seat and wants to retain his seat in 2024.
He was the former Deputy Minister of Local Government.
According to Hon. Agyekum, his tenure has seen significant development in the constituency which he attributes to his commitment to transforming Nkoranza South through various initiatives and infrastructure projects.
The MP highlighted his achievements since taking office in 2020, emphasizing that his developmental projects have greatly improved the lives of the people in Nkoranza.
He was accompanied by Nkoranza South Constituency National Democratic Congress (NDC) executives and party faithfuls.
Hon. Agyekum urged constituents to recognize his efforts and continue to support him to ensure more progress. "Let me emphasize that every developmental project in Nkoranza is undertaken by the National Democratic Congress (NDC). I therefore urge the constituents to vote for me, Emmanuel Agyekum and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to ensure more developmental projects," he stated.
Hon. Agyekum reiterated his dedication to serving the people and pushing for more projects that will benefit the communities in Nkoranza South.
He described the filing of his nomination as an assurance of victory for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 general elections.
In an interview with Fabea FM's Apiah-Kubi after submitting his nomination form at the Nkoranza South Electoral Commission office, Hon. Agyekum urged voters to vote in large numbers for both him and John Dramani Mahama.
He explained that a strong voter turnout in support of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would guarantee the continuation of the development agenda and bring more projects to the constituency in 2025 and beyond.
The MP concluded his speech by reminding the people of Nkoranza South to be united note the importance of their votes in shaping the future of the constituency.
He encouraged them to stand firm behind the National Democratic Congress (NDC), noting that their support would secure further growth and prosperity for the area under his leadership and that of John Dramani Mahama.
