Herbert Hainer, the president of Bayern Munich, has promised to use every resource at his disposal to secure a new contract for Jamal Musiala.

Entering the last two years of his contract, Musiala has been strongly linked to Manchester City. Most recently, he raised eyebrows when he said he couldn't anticipate where he will play in five years in response to a question regarding his future in Munich.

Hainer responded to the media when asked if he thought Musiala's remarks showed a lack of dedication to the team: "No, I do not interpret it that way at all, because it is legitimate and exactly as Jamal says." Five years ago, who would have guessed that Saudi Arabia would become involved, invest such a large sum of money, and bring in players?

"I think his remarks against FC Bayern are far more significant. that he has a great deal of respect for the team, is intent on achieving his next ambitions, and desires to win titles."

"I have a lot of respect for Jamal," Hainer went on. It is amazing to see how much he has grown. He's predicted by many to be the greatest player of all time.

"I think he could easily play here for the next 20 years and become the next Thomas Muller. I have high hopes that he will stay at Bayern for a very long period."

Sport director Max Eberl reaffirmed his assurances and disclosed that he would be meeting with Musiala's delegates soon.

"We are always in contact, further discussions will follow," Eberl said. "He ought to represent FC Bayern going forward. He still has a long way to go at FC Bayern. He wants to be a champion, and we share that desire completely."
