Mohamed Salah's agent has sparked speculation over his future at Liverpool after he posted an angry outburst on social media. Salah has only nine months left on his current Liverpool contract and will be free to talk to other clubs in January. The Reds are thought to be at ease about the situation, as are other key players Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold. But the Egyptian served a timely message to his employers by scoring in a 3-0 victory over Manchester United before the international break. "This is my last year with the club and I want to enjoy it," he told me. "I feel I am free to play football - we will see what happens next year."
His statements were followed by news that Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing him next year. Liverpool now pays Salah a club-record wage of roughly £350,000 per week, and there have been indications that they do not want to commit to paying such exorbitant fees again, given Salah's age of 32.
With rumors circling around his client, Ramy Abbas Issa has decided to try to set the record straight, yet his comments may do the opposite. He stated on Twitter: "FYI, all those 'journalists' who claim to have 'inside information' concerning Mohamed's future are making claims/posts based on nothing. Simply click-w***ing. 'Sources close to Mohamed' do not exist. This post is simply merely to inform you that they do not know."
Salah was previously courted by Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad, which offered him and Liverpool £100 million plus £50 million in add-ons a year ago. Back then, Abbas wrote: "If we had considered leaving LFC this year, we would not have renewed the contract last summer." Mohamed stays loyal to LFC." That finally proved to be the case, with Liverpool refusing to consider selling their top player, who has 214 goals and 92 assists in 352 games since coming from Roma in 2017. And, speaking after the hammering of Manchester United at Old Trafford, Arne Slot did not seem concerned about Salah's future.
