Paul Pogba sends secretive message to fans as ex-Manchester United player faces four-year suspension Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is banned until 2027 after failing a drug test last season; nevertheless, he is awaiting the outcome of an appeal and maintains his innocence.


Former Manchester United player Paul Pogba has sent a mysterious statement on social media, fueling speculation about a change in his doping ban. The 2018 World Cup winner has been disqualified until 2027 after failing a test last year. He has appealed the punishment to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, claiming he did not intentionally take a forbidden substance. And the former France midfielder has fans talking again with an Instagram photo in which he is training, with the caption underneath reading: "Time has its own ways of revealing truth, just be patient and live life, you will get answers sooner or later."


In May, it was rumored that he had taken up acting during his time away from the pitch and was filming portions for a French film called 4 Zéros in Paris.The film is a sequel to 3 Zéros, which debuted in 2002, and is set to be released in April of next year. According to the French magazine Le Parisien, Pogba plays a youth football coach, and a source claimed he "amazed everyone" on set. Pogba has previously promised to give his side of the story once he is "free of legal restrictions."In a statement issued after the ban was announced, Pogba stated: "I have today been notified of the Tribunale Nazionale Antidoping's decision and think that the finding is erroneous.


I am saddened, startled, and upset that all I have built over my professional playing career has been ripped away from me. When I am free of legal restraints, the complete picture will become evident, but I have never knowingly or intentionally used any substances that contravene anti-doping standards."As a professional athlete I would never do anything to enhance my performance by using banned substances and have never disrespected or cheated fellow athletes and supporters of any of the teams I have played for, or against." Pogba returned to Juventus on a free transfer in 2022 after spending his second term at Old Trafford, where he helped United win the Europa League and League Cup.
