Erling Haaland incident sparks heated fight between Manchester City and Arsenal stars Manchester City denied championship rivals Arsenal on Sunday afternoon through John Stones' late equaliser, and attacker Erling Haaland caused some mischief in his side's celebrations after the goal.

Erling Haaland risked infuriating Arsenal by tossing the ball at Gabriel's HEAD during Manchester City's celebration. After John Stones' incredible equaliser, Haaland collected the ball from the back of the net. But instead of firing it up the pitch to restart the game, he hurled it at Gabriel's back, who had hoisted his shirt above his head in disappointment. It appeared to spark a massive altercation between the two teams, with players piling in after the final whistle. Things soon calmed down, and both teams walked away with a point.

City eventually broke through Arsenal's ten-man defence as Stones pushed the ball home with only seconds remaining. Leandro Trossard's red card reduced the Gunners to 10 men for the entire second half. The late goal was merely the cherry on top of an eventful match between the two title rivals, which ended in a 2-2 draw. It began just FOUR seconds after Rodri and Kai Havertz collided at kickoff. It resulted in the City midfielder requiring medical attention and delayed the game for a few minutes. Haaland then opened the scoring with a precise finish, but City were left disappointed as Rodri sustained a knee injury.

Arsenal responded with a goal from Riccardo Calafiori, which infuriated both the home team and Pep Guardiola. Gabriel Magalhaes then put Arsenal ahead, before Trossard was sent off just before halftime. After controlling the entirety of the second half, City finally broke past Arsenal's defence. Stones scored a stunning equaliser late on. Guardiola's team is now in first place, having won four of five games. Meanwhile, Arsenal is undefeated and ranks fourth in the table.

Stones said after his equalising goal: "You're frustrated that you don't get to start in these big games, and before the game I tried to channel it and have a positive attitude if I had to come on." "Over the years, we've learnt as a team to stick together, no matter who is playing, and to always be prepared - I'm sure you've heard the manager say that many times. I came on and attempted to remain inside the box for more crosses. One dropped to me, and happily, I placed it in the back of the net. I'm incredibly happy to have scored like that."
