The 24-year-old, who previously played for Manchester United, was found immobile on the edge of the penalty area just before the half-time whistle.
As per Daily Mail UK, medical staff promptly rushed to Chong’s aid, bringing a stretcher onto the field.
Fortunately, after receiving treatment, the Dutch-born player managed to get back on his feet and walked off the pitch unaided, heading to the visitors' dressing room.
He was replaced at halftime by Jacob Brown.
According to reports from The Sun, Chong sported a large lump on the left side of his forehead, likely a result of a collision during the match.
Plymouth’s official X handle acknowledged the incident.
“Great to see Tahith Chong walking off following treatment, after he went down towards the end of the first half.”
Chong joined Luton Town last summer from Birmingham City, making 38 appearances during their Premier League campaign, which ended in relegation.
Last season, the versatile midfielder scored five goals across all competitions.
Before joining Luton, Chong started his career at Manchester United, where he made five first-team appearances.
His recovery will be closely monitored by the club's medical staff as they continue their championship campaign.
