Prosper Narteh Ogum, the head coach of Asante Kotoko, has emphasized that his players must focus completely as they get ready to play Berekum Chelsea today in the Ghana Premier League.

On Sunday, September 29, the Porcupine Warriors will square off in Week 4, which will be a critical test for them in their quest for a pivotal victory in the 2024–25 season.

Coach Ogum emphasized to the Asante Kotoko media team before the game how crucial it is for his side to stay mentally tough for the whole 90 minutes if they are to win.

Psychologically, we have to play the entire game with extreme alertness. We must maintain extreme attention. Both when we have the ball and when we don't, we need to maintain our focus and alertness. Coach Ogum forewarned us that any moment of distraction could result in punishment.

He went on to discuss the tactical strategy that would be required to defeat Berekum Chelsea, emphasizing that his team would need to be ready for a physical match.

They will attack us with aggression, so we must remain compact tactically. "We need to play safe at the back and be very athletic," he stated, emphasizing the value of a composed defensive performance.

Coach Ogum pushed his attacking players to be clinical in front of goal in addition to maintaining defensive consistency, emphasizing that finishing with all three points will depend on taking advantage of opportunities.

"From an attacking perspective, we must take advantage of gaps in their defense, and when the rare opportunities present themselves, we must make every effort to convert them," he continued.

At Golden City Park, the highly anticipated match between Asante Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea will begin at 3 p.m.
