Prosper Narteh Ogum, the head coach of Asante Kotoko, is overflowing with optimism as his team gets ready for their pivotal matchup in the upcoming Ghana Premier League versus Berekum Chelsea.
This weekend at Berekum, the Porcupine Warriors and Blues will square off in Week 4 of the 2024–2025 season.
Asante Kotoko is keen to improve on its matchday 3 performance after a 1-1 tie with Young Apostles. They have a chance to keep their winning streak going and establish their position in the league in their next game.
Following the tie at Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi, coach Prosper Narteh Ogum gave a positive assessment of the upcoming task in a post-match interview.
"We will be alright [to secure a win] if we can treble our performance in the upcoming game against Berekum Chelsea," he said with assurance.
The game, which takes place on Sunday, September 29, looks to be an exciting one.
Asante Kotoko's victory will boost their early-season campaign and prolong their winning streak in addition to improving their standing in the league standings.
The Porcupine Warriors will be looking to make a statement in Berekum, seeking to secure all three points and set the tone for the remainder of the season with Coach Ogum's tactical acumen and a driven team.

At the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra, the Accra Lions defeated Nsoatreman FC 3-1 to earn their first victory of the season.
The hosts secured their first three points of the season thanks to goals from Blessing Asuman in the second half and goals from Salman Faris Tahiru and Ezekiel Alladoh in the first. In the second half, Abdul Rahman Mohammed scored the visitor's consolation goal.
UG Stadium was the new home for the Accra Lions after they had to use the Accra Sports Stadium during renovations. This happened after the team had played in Tamale.
Five minutes in, Blessing Asuman had the first opportunity of the game, giving the hosts a strong lead.
Kwabena Adu Meider struck the post moments later, giving the Accra Lions a scare. However, the Accra-based team quickly countered, with Salman Faris scoring the first goal. Fifteen minutes later, the winger slotted home after the opponents made a mistake.
Alladoh dazzled his marker with exquisite footwork and increased the advantage a minute later with a beautiful play in the box.
After awakening from their slumber, Nsoatreman took charge and dominated possession, with Abdul Rahman Mohammed trailing closely behind.
Three minutes after the interval, Abdul Rahman's goal sealed their victory after a clumsy clearing from a corner kick.
The visitors persisted in trying to force a leveler, but Baba Apiiga countered by breaking on the left and putting in a cross that Alladoh initially met and Asuman completed.
The Accra Lions missed two clear opportunities in the final minutes, to Alladoh and Lucky Nwafor.
