Nana Oduro Sarfo, the director of Berekum Chelsea, feels that football supporters shouldn't hype Asante Kotoko too much because the team doesn't have anything special about it.

On Sunday, the Porcupine Warriors and Chelsea will square off at Golden City Park in matchday four of the 2024–25 Ghana Premier League.

With one standout performance apiece, both teams now have four points.

Before the game, Oduro Sarfo, a member of the Ghana Football Association's (GFA) Executive Council, compared Kotoko to the newly formed Young Apostles team.

He stated that he thought the club was ordinary and asked supporters to control their fervor.

"What makes Asante Kotoko so unique? "Stop the excitement around them, they are just like Young Apostles," he said in an interview with Oyerepa FM in Kumasi.

He said, "You always give their fans false hope."

Starting at 15:00 GMT, the eagerly awaited match will begin.

I'm improving little by little - Ashimeru muses about setbacks due to injuries

Majeed Ashimeru, a midfielder for Ghana, is optimistic about his steady return to form after overcoming hurdles with his injuries that limited his playing time in the previous season.

During the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the 26-year-old had an injury that hampered his development and reduced his playing time for both clubs and the national team.

Ashimeru's team, Anderlecht, has been closely monitoring him since his recovery to prevent another injury from happening. He has made six appearances this season, but just two of them have been as a starter because the squad is being careful about his fitness.

Despite this, the midfield player is eager to contribute more and is pleased with the course his recuperation is taking.

Ashimeru commented, "It has been excellent overall because last year I had too many injuries, so I'm currently rising up step by step." in reflection on his development. I'm incredibly happy to be playing for this team, the city, and the fans overall. All I'm praying for is the ability to move forward."

The Ghanaian international has been a vital member of Anderlecht's squad while healthy and is currently putting in a lot of effort to get back to his best, earning him accolades from both coaches and supporters. He is an essential member of the Belgian team because of his technical prowess and ability to command the midfield.

Ashimeru is keen to move past his recent setbacks and make a significant contribution to his club and possibly the Ghana national team as the season progresses. He hopes to fully recuperate and resume regular, elite play.
