At Royal Union Saint-Gilloise, Ghanaian attacker Mohammed Fuseini is happy in his new position as a wide winger.
Ghanaian striker Mohammed Fuseini has accepted his position with Royale Union Saint-Gilloise as a wide player, despite his preference to play center forward.
In his eight Belgium Pro League appearances, the 22-year-old has made seven appearances. He typically plays out wide in a 4-4-2 formation with another player.
Following his summer transfer from Sturm Graz, Fuseini stated he has accepted the fact that he would need to get used to his new role at the team.
In fact, since I started playing professionally, I haven't played as a winger. I've always been a striker," he told Flashscore over the weekend.
"You are more of a midfield player, which is how you differ from a striker. Additionally, you are more of a winger and can take on your guy one-on-one, generate opportunities for the team, and play on the side.
I strike a balance with it. I always know my qualities, so sometimes I'm in the center and other times I'm on the wings. I can play both as a striker and a winger.
Mohammed Fuseini has three goals and one assist in eight league games this season.
