Asamoah Boateng Afriyie, a striker for Hearts of Oak, has explained why the squad has had a disappointing start to the Ghana Premier League (GPL), blaming it mostly on a lack of player telepathy.
Hearts of Oak has recorded only one win from its opening four matches, prompting dissatisfaction among fans. Afriyie, though, is upbeat and emphasizes that the team's cohesiveness is getting better.
Asamoah Boateng Afriyie feels the team will require time to gel as new players adjust.
We're starting to click as a unit now. Following Hearts of Oak's goalless draw with Nations FC, Afriyie said, "We're all passionate about the team's success, not personal glory."
Afriyie has appeared in all four of this season's games, however, he has not scored. The former Nations FC striker, nevertheless, is unconcerned about his goal drought.
"I'm taking on a new role. Afriyie said, "I'm not concerned about the goal drought.
Aduana FC, who is also aiming for their first win after four matches, will be Hearts of Oak's next opponent. The contest between two teams hoping to improve their seasons is sure to be exciting.

The attacker for Ghana, Mohammed Fuseini, has been candid about his goals for the future after making a great start to his career with Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
The 22-year-old says he is looking forward to the next significant move in his career after joining the Belgium Pro League team in the summer.
Fuseini has established himself as a fan favorite despite having only played ten games for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
He said to Flashscore over the weekend, "I'm looking forward to it (the next big step), but then everybody has their own road and all this."
"My goal here is to play more games and then improve as a player, but I'll be glad to maybe make a nice move like they did.
"That's my major objective, and after that, I'll help the team get it to where it should be."
Mohammed Fuseini has three goals and one assist in eight league games this season.
Due to a red card ban, he will be absent from their Europa League match against Bodo/Glimt.
