Amos Frimpong, a former captain of Asante Kotoko, is optimistic that the Porcupine Warriors will overcome the Accra Lions in their Ghana Premier League match to earn a maximum number of points.

On Sunday, matchday five of the Premier League will take place at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, home of the record holders.

Speaking to Kessben FM, Frimpong said he is hopeful about his old employer's success even though he knows the Accra Lions will be challenging.

"Kotoko is going to have a really tough game. I'm confident that Accra Lions, who excel at possession and movement, will give Kotoko a tough fight on Sunday.

"I'm confident that coach Ogum will find their weaknesses and address them before their matchup with the Lions. Even though I know the players will give us a maximum of three points, the game will be extremely difficult.

After four games in the 2024–25 Premier League, the Porcupine Warriors have won two, drawn two, and lost none.

Kotoko is currently in second place with eight points, behind log leaders Medeama, who have just one point.

Yaw Preko, coach of Nsoatreman, says chances are being created, but goals will soon flow.

Head coach Yaw Preko of Nsoatreman is confident in his team's capacity to generate opportunities on the field, despite their current standing in the league.

Before Sunday's matchup with Legon Cities, Preko admitted that it has been difficult to turn opportunities into goals.

Preko remarked, "Well, it is quite unfortunate." "We have been creating in the sense that you have to at least dominate if you want to be in control of your game."

He was upbeat, saying that the team is trying to finish every training session and that they think good fortune will eventually come their way.

"As long as we generate a little bit of luck, we'll throw the ball in the goal and the goals will come flooding in," he continued.

Preko is intent on seeing that his squad gets better in front of the goal because he understands the value of seizing opportunities.

They hope to get six vital points in their next two home games, and a win versus Legon Cities would be a turning point in their season
