Boosie Badazz, born Torrence Hatch Jr. on November 14, 1982, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is a prominent American rapper, songwriter, and actor. Originally known by the stage name Lil Boosie, he rose to fame in the Southern hip-hop scene during the early 2000s with his raw, street-inspired lyrics and energetic performances.
Boosie grew up in a tough neighborhood and faced numerous challenges, including the early loss of his father, who was murdered when Boosie was a child. His mother, a schoolteacher, tried to keep him on track, but Boosie turned to the streets and began pursuing rap as an outlet. He first gained recognition as a member of the group Concentration Camp, led by rapper C-Loc.
