Enoch Morrison, a former midfielder for Asante Kotoko, gave an Asante Kotoko shirt to the chairman of the Gor Mahia supporters as a token of gratitude to them.

Morrison, who recently signed a contract with the Kenyan Premier League team, thanked everyone and said he was excited about his next chapter in Kenyan football.

The skilled midfielder made the move to Gor Mahia as a free agent after mutually parting ways with Asante Kotoko at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Morrison unexpectedly left the Porcupine Warriors after making significant contributions to the team during the most recent Ghana Premier League season.

Former King Faisal player Morrison committed to Gor Mahia on a long-term basis, and he will be a key component of their midfield for the forthcoming campaign.

Initially connected to a transfer to Hearts of Oak, Morrison chose the Kenyan team because he was keen to start again and help them succeed.

Even as he sets out on this new path with Gor Mahia, his act of presenting the Asante Kotoko shirt symbolizes his happy memories with the Ghanaian giants.

Preview: Karela United vs. Samartex, Week 5

On Sunday afternoon, Karela United and FC Samartex, the reigning champions, will play at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

Karela is hoping to improve on their recent 2-0 success over Legon Cities, as they now rank 11th in the league table with four points.

Karela, who have only lost one home game this season, seeks to capture back-to-back victories to climb the standings. They have scored three goals while giving up the same amount in their opening encounters.

However, Samartex has only managed one victory in their first four games, making it a difficult start to their title defense. But now that they are free of European obligations, they are keen to reverse Karela's luck.

Karela has always had the advantage in this clash; since Samartex's promotion, they have won both of their home games, a close 1-0 victory in the 2022–2023 season and a more decisive 4–2 victory the previous season.

With five points and a 7th-place standing, Samartex will be keen to break their losing streak on the road and leave a lasting impression. With three victories and three draws in their last six games, Karela has a mixed record. Fans can anticipate a closely contested encounter with a chance of fewer than 2.5 goals scored.
