In a devastating turn of events, Erald Elisha Amoako, the 16-year-old son of Bishop Salifu Amoako, Founder and General Overseer of Alive Chapel International, has been involved in a tragic accident that claimed the lives of two young women. The incident took place on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in East Legon, Accra, and was reportedly caused by over-speeding, as monitored by Gabbie Odonkor.

Erald was allegedly driving his mother's Jaguar vehicle on an errand related to the birthday celebration of his elder brother, Elyon Amoako, when the accident occurred. The collision, which happened near the Omama Shop, involved a head-on crash between Erald's Jaguar and an Acura vehicle. The violent impact not only led to the vehicles catching fire but also caused one of the cars to strike a wooden electric pole, bringing down live electric cables that further fueled the blaze.

CCTV Footage and Eyewitness Accounts CCTV footage that surfaced online reportedly shows Erald’s Jaguar losing control before colliding with the Acura. The footage indicates that over-speeding played a significant role in the tragic event. The two women who were in the Acura tragically lost their lives after their car caught fire due to the downed electric cables. The fire engulfed the vehicle, leaving the women trapped inside, and they were burnt beyond recognition before emergency services could fully intervene.

Emergency Response and Aftermath Emergency responders, including firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service, arrived at the scene to contain the blaze and retrieve the bodies of the victims. One of the victims was recovered, while efforts were underway to extricate the second, who remained trapped in the wreckage.

Both drivers involved, including Erald, sustained severe injuries in the crash and are currently receiving medical treatment. The accident has left the community in shock, with many mourning the loss of the two young women.

Community Reaction and Ongoing Investigations At the time of this report, neither Erald Amoako nor his family has issued a public statement regarding the accident. The local community remains deeply shaken by the tragic event, with calls for increased awareness around road safety and the dangers of over-speeding.

Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to piece together the full details of the accident. This tragic incident serves as a somber reminder of the need for caution and adherence to speed limits on the road.
