The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) pulled a massive crowd in Tamale during a campaign launch.
Thousands of NDC loyalists thronged the streets of Tamale North to witness the launch of Alhassan Suhuyini' s 2024 re- election campaign.
The launch was also graced by key NDC parliamentarians, including former Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu, and North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, alongside other notable MPs.
Several executives from the NDC also participated in the campaign launch, further signifying the party' s high- level support for Suhuyini' s re- election bid.
In addition, Sam George, the MP for Ningo- Prampram, was among the attendees, lending his voice to the call for a collective push to secure victory for the party in 2024.
Alhassan Suhuyini won the Tamale North seat by the ticket of the National Democratic Congress in the 2016 General election to become the Member of Parliament (MP). He was re- elected in the 2020 general elections to represent the Tamale North Constituency in Parliament.
The presence of high- profile personalities from the NDC in attendance at his campaign launch is a clear indication of the unity blowing in the party, emphasizing the confidence the party has in winning the upcoming general elections.
Alhassan Suhuyini has been very vocal in the media space, criticizing the Akufo Addo- led administration, and positioning John Dramani Mahama as the best candidate to transform Ghana.
The number of constituents who came out to show their unwavering support and solidarity underscores the trust and belief that the people of Tamale North still have in their Member of Parliament.
The NDC bigwigs took turns to address the crowd, convincing them to continue to vote for Alhassan Suhuyini to bring them the needed development.
Honourable Haruna Iddrisu urged the people to also vote for John Dramani Mahama in the presidential elections. Political watchers have predicted that the incumbent MP has a higher chance of being retained.
