It is hard to accept that children of pastors turn out to be stubborn. On several occasions, we have seen how the son of Archbishop Duncan William' s son messes up in public and hardly cares about the role of his dad.
Well, the son of Bishop Salifu Amoako seems to have found himself in big trouble with the security body in the country.
The Ghana Police Service has released a statement detailing an ongoing investigation into the fatal accident at East Legon on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
Over the weekend, social media witnessed a terrible accident which took the lives of two young ladies. Videos that were posted online showed the two vehicles involved, burnt beyond recognition, including the victims.
The suspect and another victim managed to survive the crash, as they managed to escape from their vehicles before the burning started. CCTV cameras captured the entire event including the speeding car and the crashing.
Later on social media, videos were also shared detailing the suspect or driver who crashed into the victim' s car and it was no other person than the son of Salifu Amoako, the son of Pastor Salifu.
Meanwhile, the statement released by the Ghana Police Service, the preliminary investigation, confirmed that the suspect driver is Salifu Amoako. It detailed that he rammed his vehicle into another vehicle on Dzanie Ashie Street at East Legon.
The report confirmed the rumours that were trending, indicating that at least, three victims survived. The statement also mentioned that the deceased bodies were deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
A portion of the statement said, " The suspect driver and other surviving victims are currently receiving medical attention. Meanwhile, one of the surviving victims has since been treated and discharged, while the bodies of the deceased victims have been deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy. "
Ghanaians on social media have shown their displeasure of the whole accident with many demanding the arrest and persecution of Salifu Amoako. One thing is certain, if he is found guilty, that is, overspeeding, without a license and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, he will not be spared.
Moreover, his family would have to compensate the family of the deceased and if possible, the young suspect may have to be prohibited from ever driving on the streets of Accra or Ghana.
