During the course of the previous day which is October 15, regional officials reported that Russian attacks against Ukraine had resulted in at least 34 injuries and five death cases.
During the course of the night, Ukrainian forces were able to shoot down twelve of the seventeen Shahed- type drones that were fired by the Russian military, as reported by the Air Force. According to the report, four more drones were " lost. "
Additionally, during the course of the night, Russia launched seven S- 300/400 missiles at Mykolaiv Oblast and two Kh- 59 missiles targeting Chernihiv Oblast, as said in the statement.

In accordance with the statements made by Governor Vitalii Kim, a Russian missile attack on the city of Mykolaiv resulted in the death of a woman and at least 23 injuries. The attack resulted in damage to a number of different locations, including a restaurant complex, retail establishments, residential structures, automobiles, and an industrial facility.
Vadym Filashkin, the governor of Donetsk Oblast, stated that the Shakhtarske hamlet is responsible for three casualties. There were two more casualties in the region, and they occurred in the villages of Zakitne and Riznykivka.
The Russian military launched attacks against 22 communities in the Kherson Oblast, one of which being the regional hub of Kherson. Governor Oleksandr Prokudin reported that there were a total of four fatalities and six injuries from the incident.
The ongoing escalation of Russian attacks in several regions of Ukraine highlights the growing cost in terms of civilian casualties and infrastructure damage. Targeting cities like Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Donetsk, and Kherson, the strikes have left a path of devastation in their wake, with several civilian deaths and damage to residences, commercial buildings, and vital infrastructure.
Despite being able to intercept a few drones and missiles, Russian forces are nevertheless exerting tremendous pressure on Ukrainian forces.
