GES Unveils 2024/2025 Academic Calendar: First-Year SHS Students to Report on October 30




The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released the 2024/2025 academic calendar, outlining key dates for the upcoming school year. According to the calendar, first-year Senior High School (SHS) students are scheduled to report to school on October 30, 2024.


*Key Dates:*


1. *First-Year SHS Students:* Report on October 30, 2024

2. *Continuing Students:* Report on November 4, 2024

3. *First Semester:* Begins on November 4, 2024, and ends on February 14, 2025

4. *Christmas Break:* December 21, 2024, to January 5, 2025

5. *Second Semester:* Begins on February 24, 2025, and ends on July 4, 2025


*Academic Term Structure:*


The 2024/2025 academic year will consist of two semesters, each divided into three terms.

The Ghana Education Service has assured stakeholders that measures are in place to ensure a smooth academic year.


"We have worked tirelessly to ensure that our schools are ready for the new academic year. We urge all stakeholders to support us in providing quality education to our students," said Dr. Eric Nkansah, Director-General of the GES.
