Below are the last four meetings between the two clubs.
FC Samartex 2-1 vs Asante Kotoko
FC Samartex 1-2 vs Asante Kotoko
FC Samartex 1-0 vs Asante Kotoko
FC Samartex 1-0 vs Asante Kotoko
When Asante Kotoko Sporting Club opted for the Len Clay Sports Stadium ahead of the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports complex, some people were of the strange opinion that it wasn't gonna favour us due to the nature of the pitch and our history at that place.
They wanted us to use our original alternative choice, the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Stadium mainly due to the pitch forgetting there's more to the game than mere pitch.
Fastforward, aside the massive improvement of the pitch at the Len Clay Sports Stadium supervised by the working IMC,
Kotoko have won two games out of the 3 that we have played there so far amassing 7 points out of the possible 9.
On the contrary, Nations FC who owns the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Stadium are yet to win even a match there. They have drawn all 3 games played there this season.
It appears the venue is not even favouring the owners themselves as they have accumulated a woeful 3 points out of 9.
Factually, the Obuasi Len Clay has been a blessing to the King's club in these difficult times and we appreciate the decision to be there.
It's Kotoko vs Samartex at the Len Clay Sports Stadium this coming Sunday.
The pitch is smooth and green.
It's on this note that I would end, may the good Lord bless you all.
It is always an honour.
