Aboubakar Ouattara, the tactician for Hearts of Oak, has accepted pressure from the team's supporters in an effort to have a significant influence on the current campaign.

After six games in the top division, the former Premier League champions have managed two victories, two losses, and two draws.

After a poor start to the 2024–25 season, in which the team lost to debutants Basake Holy Stars and then to Heart of Lions, Ouattara faced mounting criticism.

However, the Ivorian coach made sure his team bounced back from the early setback, winning two of their following four games and drawing two more.

"I enjoy the pressure from the supporters." For me, it acts as motivation. "We will attempt to make the fans happy because they always need the win," he stated.

Hearts of Oak have eight points after six games this season, good for ninth place in the Ghana Premier League standings.

In the local top-flight, the Ghanaian powerhouses will host the struggling Dreams FC on matchday seven this weekend.

Wilson Arthur criticizes the Black Stars' appalling performance, saying that Samartex and Medeama can defeat Sudan.

Skyy FC's owner and financier, Wilson Arthur, has urged the Black Stars to put its loyal players first as the squad comes under fire after losing 2-0 to Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifications.

After losing their opening game to Angola and drawing 1-1 with Niger, Ghana now sits in third position with just two points from four games.

The Black Stars lost to Sudan in a goalless draw at the Accra Sports Stadium in their last meeting.

Arthur, who is also the FA Cup Committee chairman, expressed his displeasure with the players' demeanor in an interview with Citi Sports.

Local teams like Dreams FC, Medeama, and Samartex, in his opinion, could easily defeat the Sudanese squad.

"We must select truly dedicated players. Believe me, I think this Sudanese club, Dreams FC, Medeama SC, and even FC Samartex can defeat this team," he stated.

In November, the Black Stars will play Angola and Niger to continue their qualifying campaign.

Ghana will require Sudan to lose to both Angola and Niger to guarantee a berth in the tournament taking place in Morocco the following year.
