Hopeson Adorye, a prominent figure in the Movement for Change (M4C), also known as the Afrafranto Alliance, has predicted that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) will face defeat in the upcoming elections. In a recent interview on Onua TV, Adorye shared insights from his extensive political experience, stating that he can sense when a political party is headed for either victory or defeat.

“I have learnt some practical lessons in politics,” Adorye remarked during the interview. “I can confidently say that I understand certain things when it comes to politics. When change is coming, you can see it. You know I have been in politics for a while now to tell if defeat is imminent for a party. When the change is coming, you see it. You can tell if people are pretending and if they are being real with you; you can also tell. If you don't study these things, you will be at a loss."

Adorye's comments signal his belief that the NPP is on a downward trajectory, particularly as the political landscape shifts. He emphasized the importance of political leaders being attuned to the mood of the electorate and said that failure to do so could lead to disastrous consequences. He further predicted that the NPP would struggle in opposition, should it lose the elections, describing the potential experience as "miserable."

In contrast, Adorye expressed optimism about the presidential candidacy of Alan Kyerematen, the flagbearer for the Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC). He recalled a recent flight to Kumasi, where passengers expressed their support for Kyerematen's presidential bid. "I can tell that most people in Ghana are afraid of intimidation," he said. "For the NPP, they will be very miserable in opposition. Things will be difficult for them when they go into opposition."

Alan Kyerematen has positioned himself as a candidate capable of breaking Ghana’s long-standing political duopoly through his "Great Transformational Plan" (GTP). His blueprint for economic transformation includes policies aimed at building an enterprise-driven economy. He also seeks to create a more prosperous, united, and peaceful Ghana, with equal opportunities for all, especially youth, women, and vulnerable groups. His vision is to foster national development that improves livelihoods and well-being across the country.

As the political winds shift, Adorye's prediction of an NPP defeat adds a layer of uncertainty to the upcoming elections, while Kyerematen's campaign continues to gain momentum with promises of sweeping changes.
