POLICE OFFICER FOUND DIED ON THE KPANDA ROAD

More details and images have emerged of the tragic passing of Constable Maxwell Appiah, a young police officer whose death has left many Ghanaians in shock and mourning. His untimely demise has prompted an outpouring of grief on social media, with people offering their condolences and expressing sympathy for his family.
 
According to reports, the incident occurred on Sunday, October 20, 2024, around 5 PM, near the Kpandai District Assembly on the Kpandai Lesseni road. Constable Appiah, along with a fellow officer, had just completed their day patrol and snap-check duties. Their shift was cut short due to heavy rains, and the two officers were returning to their base on a motorbike. Constable Appiah was a pillion rider during this journey.
As they made their way back, a tragic accident occurred. An unregistered motorbike, recklessly ridden, crossed their path. This sudden and dangerous maneuver led to a devastating crash. Constable Appiah, unfortunately, died on the spot from the impact of the collision. His colleague, who was driving the motorbike, survived the accident but sustained severe injuries. The injured officer was immediately rushed to the Kpandai District Hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment. The full extent of his injuries remains unclear, but he is currently under medical supervision.
 
The body of Constable Maxwell Appiah was transported to the Tamale Teaching Hospital for preservation and a formal autopsy. This will allow investigators to confirm the exact cause of death and may contribute to an ongoing investigation into the accident.

As the news of Constable Appiah's death spread, many Ghanaians took to social media to express their sorrow.
