Asante Kotoko set to sign new striker for 3 years. The player's last team in the Ghana Premier League was Aduana football club who are popularly known as Aduana Stars, he went outside the country and is back, Issac Mintah is on the verge of pening down a three year pre contract for the porcupine warriors.
But the only thing he has to do is go through trials as he is coming in as a free player, who hasn't been active for a while.

“I know that if we give the local players the chance, they will deliver for the country. A player like Justice Blay, if he cannot play for the Black Stars, then he is not fit to be an Asante Kotoko player. This is because Kotoko is bigger than Black Stars," he told Angel TV.
“Black Stars play matches periodically, but Kotoko play almost every weekend, so their players are fitter and better than the Black Stars players. How many of our Black Stars players start regularly at their clubs?
“People always bring up their inability to qualify for the CHAN, but there are some players in the CHAN team who can excel for the Black Stars. There should be competition in the team,” he added.
Asante Kotoko Sporting Club and Bibiani GoldStars had their final preseason in Cape Coast and at a point, engaged in a friendly match at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium which Kotoko won by a lone goal.
Fast forward, after Match Day 7 of the GPL, the high flying miners team which is coached by a Kotoko legend, Frimpong Manso occupy the summit of the league table followed by the giants themselves, Asante Kotoko with one outstanding match vs struggling Legon Cities yet to be honoured.
A likely win vs the troubled Legon Cities side will reposition us on top of the league.
Undoubtedly, both Kotoko and Gold stars did something right during their preseasons in Cape Coast and it's paying off at this early stages of the season.
