*I Didn't Create Paradise, But Ghana Was Better Off Under Me - Mahama*
John Mahama, the former President of Ghana and now flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has confidently stated that his tenure was far superior to the current administration under President Akufo Addo.
Mr Mahama refuses to downplay his accomplishments, instead emphasizing that Ghana was in a better state during his presidency.
"I wouldn't say when I was president Ghana was Paradise. But I can beat my chest and say Ghana was far better than what is it today"he indicated
Mahama highlighted the significant economic challenges and social deprivation faced by Ghanaians under the current government, citing unprecedented levels of poverty, untold hardship, unemployment, lawlessness and social inequity.
In a recent address, Mahama outlined his vision for a "RESET Ghana," focusing on transformative leadership, economic revival, job creation, social justice, and national unity.
He promised to tackle corruption, reduce government expenditure, and promote transparency and accountability.
Mahama's potential presidency would prioritize economic revival through industrialization, agriculture, education, health and natural resource management.
He also aims to create decent, well-paying jobs for the youth, strengthen social interventions and educational reforms, provide universal access to affordable internet, and promote digital skills.
Mahama plans to support the arts and culture sector through initiatives like the Black Experience. His message is clear: he believes Ghana deserves better, and he's committed to leading the country toward a brighter future for the next generation.

🎙Enzo Maresca's Full Pre-Panathinaikos Press Conference:
🔹Enzo Maresca on Filip Jorgensen: "He's available and is going to play."
🔹Enzo Maresca on Mykhailo Mudryk: "[Wasn't in the squad vs Liverpool] because it was a technical decision. He's here with us and available for tomorrow."
🔹Enzo Maresca: "Many years ago [I played in Greece]. The feeling is a little bit mixed in terms of the season I spent here with Olympiacos, it was good. A big rival of Panathinaikos."
🔹Enzo Maresca on returning to Greece: "I lost a friend inside the pitch when I was in Seville, we were here in Athens playing in this stadium and on that day one of my team-mates passed away, Antonio Puerta, so it is mixed feelings. The season in Athens [when playing for Olympiacos] was fantastic, but at the same time when I come back here I am sad."
🔹Enzo Maresca: "Tomorrow's game is a tough game for sure. Panathinaikos are a very good teams. I watched games with a different, new manager so will for sure be a tough game."
🔹Enzo Maresca: "Joao [Felix], since he arrived is doing very well, fantastic with us. I have nothing bad to say, everything is good. The only thing is that we have Joao but also more players that, unfortunately are not playing. This is not because they are not doing well in the week but those playing are doing well. Joao has to continue to work in the way he is working and soon hopefully we can give him more minutes and chances."
🔹Enzo Maresca on Josh Acheampong: "To be honest, I feel a bit shame for Josh because I think this kind of games could be an opportunity for him. I had a chat with him personally about three weeks ago about his [contract] situation. The chat was very good, positive. From that moment I haven't spoken with him again. It's a shame because I really think that Josh, potentially can be a top player. He's still 18, very young. Many things can change for him but in terms of his future he can be very important for Chelsea. It's so important for the club, our intention is to not lose him. The first thing we need to do is find a solution for his future. He needs to get minutes, enjoy and play football. It's a bad situation in this moment for him."
🔹Enzo Maresca: "The reason Cole [Palmer] is not in the squad, I said many times. We are protecting players from injury and different reasons."
🔹Enzo Maresca: "I don't agree that we are conceding easy goals. We are conceding goals like the rest of the clubs in different ways. Tomorrow with a full stadium hopefully we are not going to concede goals!"
🔹Enzo Maresca on Mykhailo Mudryk: "When [he can fulfill his potential]? I don't know. The only thing I can say is we try to work with Misha everyday and hopefully he can get better and better after day by day with us. It's more or less like Joao, he's doing well but there are also more players that are doing well. The important thing is for him and the rest to take the chance when they get it."
🔹Enzo Maresca on Chelsea youngsters: "They have been with us already for different sessions. Sam [Rak-Sakyi] is a good profile midfielder. He can play holding and between the lines. Shimmy [Shumaira Mheuka], we use him as a striker and as a winger. They are good profiles, young ones. Will be a good experience for them to stay with us. We have Tyrique [George], who is doing well for us. He's like Josh [Acheampong], we can hopefully keep him with us and he can get some chances to grow with experience."
🔹Enzo Maresca: "I'm from Italy so I know Greece is close to Italy! It's a different environment but it's nice. I don't think tomorrow's environment is worse or better than Anfield last Sunday. The players are quite good at dealing with that."
🔹Enzo Maresca: "Panathinaikos have some very good players. I was in Leicester last year, Tete was there two years ago. I know some things. They have good players. The manager was also in Seville. We will try to do our best to compete in the right way tomorrow."
