The visit aimed to assess and strengthen the security framework within the region, fostering collaboration among the diverse agencies involved in maintaining peace.

The delegation, led by the Upper East Regional Minister, Dr. Bin Salih Hatfis, began the day by paying a courtesy call on the Chief of Bawku, Bawku Naba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II, at his palace. During this visit, the Council briefed Bawku Naba on the current security situation, exchanging insights and recommendations on maintaining stability in the region. Bawku Naba commended REGSEC for its continued efforts to ensure peace and harmony, particularly acknowledging Dr. Bin Salih Hatfis for his thoughtfulness, leadership, and dedication to duty.

"Bawku has seen both peaceful and challenging times, and REGSEC’s commitment is commendable," Bawku Naba remarked. "I especially thank Dr. Bin Salih Hatfis for his thoughtful approach and steadfast leadership in maintaining our collective peace."

Following this meeting, the delegation convened with security personnel from various agencies in the Assembly Hall of Bawku Senior High School. This interactive session provided an opportunity to discuss strategies for unified operations within the region, emphasizing the critical need for intelligence-sharing and collaborative efforts to address security challenges effectively. The Regional Minister encouraged the personnel to prioritize teamwork, stating, “Our unity in purpose is paramount. It is only through shared information and cohesive action that we can create a safe environment for all.”

The REGSEC team then moved to Missiga Custom Station, where they met with additional security personnel stationed in the area. Reinforcing their earlier message, the delegation emphasized the value of inter-agency cooperation, urging officials to work together for the greater good of the region and the nation. Dr. Bin Salih Hatfis and his team commended the officers for their dedication and commitment to the service of the state, acknowledging the hard work and resilience required to maintain peace in the region.
