Kwabena Agyekum Kubi, the flag bearer's running companion, famously referred to her as "Roman Fada" in a radio interview on Tuesday, October 29.The 72-year-old politician who founded and led the Ghana Freedom Party passed away on Monday while receiving medical attention at a hospital in the country's capital, Accra.
She hasn't been feeling well for a few days, so on Saturday we sent her to Nsawam Government Hospital.
However, her health has not improved. They called me on Sunday and said they didn't take her to Ridge Hospital.Therefore, yesterday afternoon, my family called and instructed me to say she doesn't fit me. She has Roman Fada as her running companion.
A lot of people were shocked when word of her death surfaced on Tuesday morning.
Akua Donkor has distinguished herself as the right politician for Ghana throughout the years with her audacious approach to addressing the concerns of local communities.
She has run in two elections before, and the electoral commission has listed her as the third contender for the 2024 presidential election, which is less than six weeks away.
For her presidential campaign, the candidate promised duty-free port services for goods clearance, free education, adequate salaries for farmers, and other measures that she hopes to execute if elected in 2024.

Who is Akua Donkor?
Akua Donkor is a politician from Ghana who founded and leads the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP).
Dem was born in February 1952 and is from the Afigya Kwabre District in Ghana's Ashanti region.
She works as a farmer and, according to accounts, has no formal education, but that doesn't stop her from pursuing her goals.
Madam Donkor is elected by the Dems to serve as Herman's assemblywoman.
Her aspirations to become president began during the 2012 elections, when she applied to run as an independent but was rejected by the electoral commission.
When she was running for president in 2020, she told BBC Pidgin that her goal was to make education free from the primary to secondary level, lower import duties to enable more imports, and create a free zone for the Tema, Ghana, port to draw in more companies.
