The Division Two League season officially commenced with a short ceremonial kickoff at the Adjiringanor Astroturf.
The Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) Chairman, Mr. Samuel Aboabire, was joined by SOCCABET's Marketing Manager, Mr. Kobby Ampong, League Board Chairman, Mr. George Aforklinyuie to kick start the SOCCABET Division Two league season.
Also in attendance were Mr. Felix Bewu, ExCo member of GARFA, Mr. Selorm Enoch and Mr. Nicholson Nettey, all of SOCCABET
Golden Strikers FC hosted A5 Rences in the league's inaugural match, setting the stage for an exciting season.
The partnership between GARFA, SOCCABET, and Ashlid Sports promises to elevate the league's competitiveness and entertainment value.
The season will witness a total of about 2,430 matches across various league centers in the Greater Accra Region.
In all, 81 clubs will be competing for Middle League qualification and National Division One League promotion.
The association aims to deliver a successful, discrepancy-free season, showcasing the best of grassroots football.
"I wish all participating clubs the best of luck and wish for an injury-free football season for our young footballers devoid of any violence", Chairman Aboabire said. He also emphasized GARFA's commitment to grassroots football development and showed appreciation for SOCCABET and Ashlid Sports support.
