Ruben Amorim's commitment to Manchester United fans speaks volumes as the deadline approaches. However, the move has been hindered by his current job at Sporting Lisbon for a few weeks.
Ruben Amorim is already looking forward to his work at Manchester United and wants to put an end to the "soap opera" of the last few days.

United have been in talks with Sporting Lisbon and Amorim since sacking Erik ten Hag on Monday, following the defeat against West Ham. They have finally met the Portuguese club's demands by agreeing to pay his £8.3 million release clause.

Amorim will sign a two-and-a-half-year contract worth £6 million per year at Old Trafford, with the option for an additional year. However, the 39-year-old will stay as Sporting manager for three more games before joining United after the November international break.

Amorim detailed the scenario on Thursday, prior to Sporting's match against Estrela da Amadora. "It's a negotiation between two clubs, which isn't easy," he stated. "After the game on Friday, we will have all of these clarifications. Then the decision will be known.

"The soap opera is about to end. I believe that everyone has times in their lives when they are doing well but want something more, perhaps to prove something more.

In addition to Amorim, conversations with Sporting have focused on his coaching staff, with assistants Carlos Fernandes, Adelio Candido, and Emanuel Ferro, goalie coach Jorge Vital, and sports scientist Paulo Barreira all expected to follow him to Old Trafford. Sporting wanted an additional £4.1 million in compensation for the coaching staff, sparking friction between the parties.

"I think all coaches need (a good backroom staff)," remarked Amorim. "I don't want to get into too much detail. That was one of the reasons I always wanted to stay here: the individuals I work with.

When asked about claims of a rupture with Sporting president Frederico Varandas, Amorim replied, "It's really good. There is no conflict; everything will be sorted up tomorrow.
