As we all know coach Prosper Ogum would like to give a reaction after a draw and loss in Nzema and the Legon stadium.
At this very point it is very likely that the team may return to a four back system as the three back hasn't really given them much.
Below is the set of players that coach Ogum would use against Kpando Hearts Of Lions
1.Camara Mohammed
2. Frederick Asare
3. Henry Ansu
4. Joseph Ablorh
5. Justice Blay
6. Emmanuel Kotei
7. Lord Amoah
8. Patrick Asiedu the only senior natural left back in the team at the moment
9. Jordan Amisah who is a youth player and captain of the youth team
10.Gilbani Samba O’Neil who is just returning back into the squad
11. Kyei Dwamena Michael
12. Emmanuel Antwi
13. Tenedu Samuel
14. Avoka Akwasi Titus
15. Peter Amidu Acquah
16. Saaka Dauda
17. Wisdom Fernando Bassey
18. Baba Yahaya
19. Albert Amoah
20. Elvis Kyei Baffour
It's going to be an interesting game as the away side seek to get a good result from the porcupine warriors.
Rates for the match in Obuasi.
I initially chose not to discuss this, but I am still feeling hurt. Ogum’s lineup cost us the match against Legon Cities, plain and simple.
The coach should have realized that underestimating Legon Cities, especially considering their determination to end their winless streak against a big club like Kotoko, was a mistake.
Playing a three back system without natural wing-backs was a questionable decision. The pressure was on the defense, particularly Blay at the RCB position, leading to a poor performance in the first half. Introducing Asiedu and Lord Amoah as wing-backs in the second half helped us dominate, but the damage had already been done by Ogum, resulting in the defeat.
If we fail to get a positive result against Heart of Lions on Sunday, more questions will be raised about the team selection and performance from Wednesday.
The lesson here is that Ogum has made this mistake before earlier in the season, so it will be interesting to see how he corrects it moving forward.
We bossed the opening stages, and peppered the visitors goal with a host of early attempts.
Imam had the first chance of the game but his effort was dealt by the goalkeeper .
However only a superb piece of goalkeeping kept the game intact after Dickson produced a great save to deny the visitors.
After the break, Coach Abu Adams introduced Danger in place of Enoch as we went all out in search of the opener.
The substitution proved to be the masterstroke as Danger caused a lot of problems to the visitors defense.
Danger on the 60th minutes waited to pick his moment to fire in a devilish delivery, and Mugis headed powerfully into the empty net to get our campaign off and running.
The young winger came close again after cutting inside but saw his effort saved by the goalkeeper.
Dembele also saw his effort saved by the goalkeeper after a beautiful through pass from Danger.
The chances dried up in the closing stages as we managed to pick our first three points of the campaign.
