The highly anticipated final of the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2024 will unfold today, in the picturesque coastal city of Hurghada, Egypt. Fans are eagerly counting down to the match, which kicks off soon.

Viewers can catch the thrilling showdown live on CAF’s official YouTube channel and CAF TV, as well as through several broadcast partners, including beIN Sports and Canal+. In Egypt, sports enthusiasts can enjoy the match on ON Sport TV network.

This year’s final pits the reigning champions, Senegal, against the spirited newcomers, Mauritania. Senegal, renowned for their prowess in beach soccer, will defend their title against Mauritania, who are making their debut on this prestigious stage. The excitement begins earlier in the day with a third-place playoff, where the host nation, Egypt, will clash with Morocco at 14:00 local time (11:00 GMT).

Both Senegal and Mauritania have not only reached the final but have also earned their tickets to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2025, joining the ranks of Africa's representatives alongside the hosts, Seychelles.

Senegal

Senegal proudly holds the title of the most successful nation in the history of the Beach Soccer AFCON, boasting four championship titles. Their dominance over the past four editions has been remarkable, as they clinched victories in 2016, 2018, 2021, and 2022. Their journey began with a second-place finish in the inaugural 2015 tournament, where they were edged out by Madagascar. Leading the team is captain Al Seyni Ndiaye, a pivotal figure in Senegalese beach soccer and the tournament's most successful player, having been part of every victorious squad.
