Jackie Appiah wins Best Actress award at 2024 AMAAs

Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah was honored as Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAAs), which took place in Lagos, Nigeria, on November 2, 2024. She received this prestigious award for her remarkable performance in the film "Red Carpet," produced by Samira Yakubu, who is not only a talented filmmaker and costume designer but also Jackie’s manager.


Directed by Frank Rajah Arase, "Red Carpet" features a talented ensemble cast that includes Grace Omaboe, Selly Ghally, Kalsoume Sinare, Roseline Ngissah, Adjetey Annang, Abeiku Santana, Deyemi Okanlawon, and Beverly Afaglo. The film has garnered significant attention, showcasing the exceptional talents of its cast and crew.


Jackie Appiah is no stranger to accolades, having previously won her first AMAA in 2007 for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "Beyonce."
